Photo Story: Boston Firefighters Battle Barn Fire

Just before 10:15 pm on Aug. 26, the Boston Fire Alarm office struck Box 284 for Centre Street and Park Street for a building in the area.

Minutes later Ladder 25 reported a two-story barn fully involved.

Engine 30 stretched a line and knocked down the fire in the front as Car 12 arrived and struck a second alarm.

Companies placed big lines and a blitz gun in service protecting the exposures and quickly  knocked down the heavy fire.

Crews remained on scene wetting down hot spots as the Arson Squad worked to determine a cause of the fire. The damage was estimated at $150,000.
