Photo Story: Fort Worth Crews Fight Commercial Fire

Dec. 16, 2013
Heavy smoke was showing from a commerical building when Fort Worth firefighters arrived Sunday.

Extra companies were requested to help control a commercial building fire in Fort Worth on Dec. 15.

Firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the one-story building on North Freeway. The building is occupied by an auto aftermarket customization business who does fiberglass fabrication painting and finishing.

Using thermal imaging cameras, firefighters were able to locate the fire on the C/D corner of the structure and move handlines into the building.

Crews cut overhead doors for access and ventilation.

Two engines were dispatched over the first alarm assignment.

Officials believe the fire started in or near a paint booth.
