Los Angeles County firefighters spent two hours battling a strip mall fire in Hawthrone on Dec. 18.

A still alarm was dispatched for a building fire in the 12700 block of Hawthorne Blvd. 

Fire was through the roof when crews arrived and they forced entry to access the fire. A third alarm was called and it brought about 20 engines, two trucks, two quints, four paramedic squads and various special units.

The fire destroyed several businesses in the strip mall, including a Chinese restaurant and a discount store.
