Photo Story: Accidental Fire Damages Texas Strip Mall

Companies found heavy fire and smoke showing from the Metro Insurance office, which was spreading to the surrounding businesses.

Just after midnight on Jan. 9, the Fort Worth Fire Department responded to a one-alarm commercial structure fire located in a strip shopping center in the 6900 block of the South Freeway.

Companies found heavy fire and smoke showing from the Metro Insurance office, which was spreading to the surrounding businesses.  

Firefighters made entry into the building and began to extinguish the fire.  

The insurance office sustained heavy fire and smoke damage, while surrounding businesses sustained heavy smoke damage.

This fire was placed under control at 1:20 am. and fire department investigators called the cause accidental.
