Photo Story: Tankers Summoned to Pa. House Fire

Firefighters used water hauled by tankers to battle a fire that gutted a three-story home in Northampton County.

Nobody was injured when fire burned through a Bushkill Township home on Jan. 22. 

A call to Northampton County 911 reported the house fire at 749 Lahr Rd. in Bushkill Township.

The first arriving fire officer found heavy fire on the first floor and spreading to the second.

He called for an immediate second alarm, along with a tanker task force. Stations 52, 54, 50 responded along with tankers from Stations 28, 36, 38, 47, 48, 53.

Temperatures were near 0 and wind gusts hit 25 mph at times.

The three-story home was a total loss.
