Photo Story: Storage Building Gutted in Texas

Fort Worth units found a large storage building containing a car, chemicals, and several small animals, fully involved.

Fire companies responded to 9209 Heron Dr. in Fort Worth shortly after 7:00 a.m. for a reported structure fire.  

Units found a large storage building well involved. The building contained a car, numerous chemicals, and several small animals.

A small electric heater and a wood burning stove were being used to heat the animals and plants in the building.  

The fire was brought under control at 7:32.

While the contents of the building were all destroyed, it is believed that all the animals were able to escape.

Firefighters also battled cold temperatures while fighting the fire.
