Photo Story: Vacant Home Burns in Oklahoma

Feb. 14, 2014
Moore firefighters battled the flames for more than an hour before the fire was brought under control.

Moore firefighters were called to a residential structure fire around 7:00 a.m. on Jan. 26, just as the green shift was relieving the blue shift.

Engine 2 arrived within 4 minutes of the first 911 call and reported heavy smoke and flames ventilating from the northwest corner of the structure. Flames were about 15 feet into the air.

Fire crews battled the flames for more than an hour before the fire was brought under control.

The fire marshal's office was summoned to investigate the fire because the home was vacant.

Units on scene: Ladder 1, Engine 2, Engine 4, Fire Chief 100, Deputy Chief 101,& Assistant Chief 102
