Photo Story: N.J. Fire Reaches Multiple Alarms

Heavy fire was showing from the rear of the building when Kearny units arrived.

Units from seven departments battled a three-alarm fire in Kearny on Feb. 24.

The Deputy Chief arrived at approximately 5:30 p.m. and reported a working fire with heavy fire showing from the rear of 58 Dukes Street. 

Hoselines were stretched and searches were completed.

Firefighters were able to contain the main body of fire to the original fire building only allowing minimal damage to the B exposure. 

As the third alarm was struck, mutual aid came from Harrison, East Newark, Jersey City, North Arlington, Belleville and North Hudson Regional Fire & Rescue?.
