Photo Story: Driver Freed from Overturn in New York

One person was injured after his arm was trapped between the vehicle ground when his vehicle rolled over on Intertstate 390 in Rush on May 29.

At 7:50 p.m. the Rush Fire Department was dispatched along with a Henrietta ALS unit to Interstate 390. It was reported that the car rolled over and someone was trapped inside and that the vehicle was on fire.

Rescue 588 arrived six minutes after and found no fire, reported a person with his arm trapped under the door post as the vehicle rested on its side.

Rush Assistant Chief  Jake Vogt assumed command and additional rescues were requested from East Avon and Henrietta.

The extrication was completed by 8:14 and the mutual aid rescues were cancelled. 

The victim was taken to the hospital and a bystander was treated for a hand injury.
