Photo Story: Detroit Building Razed by Fire

Detroit firefighters found the large building fully involved and deployed a defensive attack on the fire.

On June 12, Detroit crews found a large dwelling fully involved.

At 8:39, Detroit Fire Communication dispatched a box alarm to Eastburn and Gratiot for a building fire. Engines 50 and 58, Ladder 23, Squad 6 and Battalion 9 responded.

Crews leaving Engine 50's firehouse reported a large column of smoke and found the structure fully involved.

Ladder 23's aerial was set up as firefighters deployed hoselines to protect nearby property. 

The two adjacent homes were not damaged.
