Chicago firefighters responded to a July 9 fire that damaged two homes.

The fire, at 321 S. Sacramento, started in a building that Chicago building officials deemed unsafe to operate in.

Flames spread to an occupied home next door and crews quickly doused those flames.

Crews used a defensive attack, including a Snorkel Squad, to bring the fire under control.
