Photo Story: Porch Light Ignites Ore. Fire

Portland Fire & Rescue officials said that an early morning house fire started in a porch light.

A porch light is blamed for an early morning house fire in Portland on Oct. 13.

Portland Fire & Rescue crews responded to the 9000 block of Southeast Lincoln Street and found smoke and flames coming from the two-story home.

A neighbor told officials that crackling from the flames woke him up.

Fire investigators determined the cause of the fire to be electrical in nature and it originated in the porch light. 

Three people were displaced by the fire and damage is estimated at $120,000.
