Three brush fires kept Southern Stone County Fire Protection District crews busy on Feb. 8.

The first call came in just after 2:00 p.m. on Talking Rocks Rd. in Branson West, Mo. Crews made a quick knockdown of the half-acre fire.

As crews were clearing the scene another call for a brush fire came on Flat Creek Rd. in Cape Fair, Mo.

Crews arrived to find the fire had spread into cedar trees and a second alarm was requested. Engine 6065 set up for structure protection on a single wide mobile home.

Crews knocked the fire down and it was contained to four acres.

Just after 4:30 p.m. another brush fire was dispatched on Blueberry Hill Lane near Kimberling City and the fire was contained to three acres.

All three fire were started by unattended burn piles or barrels.
