A defensive attack was used to control a fire that ripped through the attic of an Andover home on April 12.

A defensive attack was used to control a fire that ripped through the attic of an Andover home on April 12.

Crews were called to Eagle Street and 148th Avenue around 9:45 p.m. and police first reported flames showing from the home.

Ladder 11 was positioned in front of the home and established a water supply at a nearby hydrant. Engine 31's crew deployed an attack line.

Mutual aid was called from Anoka-Champlin and Ham Lake to the scene and Coon Rapids to cover Andover.
