THE NEWARK, NJ, FIRE DEPARTMENT has placed into service three Ferrara custom pumpers built on Ferrara Ember chassis powered by Cummins ISL-425 engines. Each apparatus features a 1,500-gpm Hale Qmax pump, 750-gallon poly water tank, Fire Research InControl pressure governor, Akron Apollo monitor, On Scene Solutions LED compartment lights and Whelen warning and scene lighting. The units are assigned to Engine Companies 15, 26 and 29.
