Why: Since 1981, more than 3,000 firefighters have died tragically in the line of duty. Today, one hero is lost every 72 hours. These and all sacrifices of our nation's firefighters are inherently great, and have compelled Pierce Manufacturing and Harley-Davidson to support the NFFF.

The NFFF is a 501(c)(3) organization with a Congressional mandate dedicated to honoring the memory of America's fallen firefighters. The NFFF also allocates resources to aid their surviving spouses and children of these heroes with scholarship assistance for educational and job training costs, and for peer networks that offer families and coworkers essential emotional support.
