Ocala, FL (March 24, 2011) – E-ONE announces the launch of eMAX, its latest apparatus innovation, at the Fire Department Instructor’s Conference, booth 5501, in the Indianapolis Convention Center.

With a new pump location and maximized configuration, eMAX is designed to offer MAXimum Maneuverability with a short wheelbase, MAXimum Storage space with up to 586 cubic feet of storage, MAXimum Accessibility with low, pre-connected handlines and a rear access ladder, MAXimum Fire Rescue capability to carry equipment necessary for fire, rescue and EMS response in one organized apparatus. All these features combined allow departments to MAXimize their Performance with the new eMAX by E-ONE.

“For the last several years, departments have been asked to do more with less, eMAX allows customers to store equipment for Fire, Rescue, and EMS without sacrificing tank size, pumping capability, or wheelbase,” Peter Guile, CEO of E-ONE, said. “eMAX is a customer-driven design, based on extensive research and customer feedback from Fire Departments across North America. The tried and true split shaft pump design allows for less moving parts than similar configurations, ensuring less wear and tear over the life of the apparatus.”

eMAX features include:

Narrow Pump Operator’s Panel

• Compact panel design is less than 24” wide, allowing more space for equipment

• 1250-1500 GPM

• Manual or electric valves

• Class A or Class B direct injection foam systems, CAFS or ATP foam systems

Discharge / Intake Panel

• Low intakes for easier hose connection with better ground clearance

• No cab overhang to restrict panel access

Pump Drive - Tried and true split shaft pump drive design does not rely on a continuously spinning power take-off, resulting in less noise, less moving parts and less wear and tear on your apparatus. Pump and role available.

Low Speedlays - Due to the placement of the pump and body design, eMAX offers lower pre-connected handlines and a shorter wheelbase than conventional designs making it quicker to access and deploy hose while maintaining an extremely maneuverable vehicle.

Large Rear Compartment - Tall, 26” deep rear compartment provides additional versatility.

Enclosed Ladder Tunnel - Single ladder tunnel holds 24’ two-section ladder, 14’ roof ladder, 10’ attic ladder and two 10’ pike poles in a single compartment - no searching multiple locations for these items.

Rooftop Storage Compartments - Raised lid design prevents water entry and provides additional enclosed storage area for cord reels, absorbent material dispensers and occasionally used items including salvage, overhaul and long-handled tools.

Rear Access Ladder - Provides easy access to hose bed and upper storage compartments.
