CHARLOTTE, Michigan, January 6, 2011 – Ed Dobbs, Senior Vice President of the Emergency Response Chassis Division of Spartan Motors Chassis, Inc., a subsidiary of Spartan Motors, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPAR), has announced the promotion of Michael Bowman to Director of Emergency Response Chassis Sales.

Bowman joined Spartan in 2008 as Midwest Regional Sales Manager, representing Spartan in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri.
Bowman, who currently resides in Illinois, has more than 30 years of experience in sales and diesel engines. He also has more than 30 years of experience in firefighting and served his community as fire chief for 13 years.
