NVFC Partners with Firehouse Expo 2010 To Reach Current, Future Firefighters

Burnsville, MN (April 13, 2010) – In an effort to promote and provide the best education and training available to industry professionals, the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) and Firehouse Expo have partnered to offer NVFC members a discounted admission rate to Firehouse Expo 2010. NVFC Personal Members will receive a $30 discount and Department Members will receive a $50 discount to the event which takes place July 20-24, 2010 in Baltimore, MD.

Future firefighters will also benefit from this partnership. The NVFC National Junior Firefighter Program has partnered with Firehouse Expo and California Casualty, to develop a day full of learning about the fire service on Saturday, July 24 beginning at 9:00 AM. New courses specifically developed for junior firefighters will focus on youth leadership, future paths in the fire service and youth-led activities. The junior firefighter program advisors will be offered a course to explore feature topics such as serving as youth mentors, securing funding, and program activity ideas.

Firehouse Expo has been supporting America's bravest for over 25 years, offering some of the most comprehensive training programs in the industry. Each year, Firehouse Expo brings together more than 15,000 fire, rescue, and EMS professionals from across the country. Valuable training and education help prepare these professionals for the realities they face within their communities. Leading companies, over 430, pack the exhibit hall with the latest innovations in equipment, apparatus, tools, vehicle accessories, rescue/extrication equipment, training, hazmat gear, and clothing.

This year’s five day event will provide more options and more value.
