EAGLEVILLE, PA, July 30, 2010 -- Streamlight®, Inc., a leading flashlight manufacturer for fire and rescue applications, announced it has introduced the PolyTac® Helmet Lighting Kit, featuring a PolyTac® LED flashlight and a Blackjack Helmet Mount by 1445 Designs. The helmet mount also can be purchased separately as an accessory.
The new universal lighting kit is a low-profile, lightweight and economic alternative for securely mounting the PolyTac LED flashlight to almost any style helmet, traditional or modern.

The Blackjack Helmet Mount is made from solid machined aluminum to provide both corrosion and impact resistance. The rubber helmet strap is made of engineered high-strength rubber.
The PolyTac LED features a C4® LED with a 50,000 hour lifetime and which is two to three times brighter than Super High Flux LEDs. Powered by two included 3V CR123A batteries with a shelf life of 10 years, it provides up to 5,200 candela peak beam intensity and 130 lumens measured system output. The light features a continuous run time of up to 3 hours to the 10% output level. The light meets the requirements of NFPA 1971-8.6(2007).
Available in yellow, the PolyTac LED weights 3.9 oz. and measures 5.22 in. in length and 1.25 in. in diameter. The light features a body made of high-impact, super tough nylon polymer for exceptional durability and a sure grip, and a tailcap push button switch for easy, one-handed operation with gloved hands. The tailcap also can be rotated to a “Safe” position.
The PolyTac LED features an IPX7 rated design for waterproof operation to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
The PolyTac LED Helmet Kit retails for $95.00. It comes with Streamlight’s Limited Lifetime warranty. The suggested retail price for the Blackjack Helmet Mount as an accessory is $28.00.
