TAMPA, Florida and HOUSTON, Texas – February 4, 2010 – EnRoute Emergency Services announced today the successful launch of an automated emergency dispatch system for Community Volunteer Fire Department near Houston, Texas
The fire department, which protects a suburb of approximately 115,000 residents southwest of America’s fourth largest city, contracted with
EnRoute to install and launch EnRoute’s Fire Computer-Aided Dispatch System, Fire Mobile Data Terminals with Mapping and Automated Vehicle Location.
EnRoute’s advanced emergency dispatch system replaced Community Volunteer Fire Department’s all-manual paper process for receiving and dispatching 9-1-1 calls for fire and rescue. The fire department’s 22 units, three fire stations and 100 volunteer staff provide 24/7 services to this growing area that is predominantly residential with some commercial businesses. EnRoute trained the agency’s emergency response staff on the new system prior to the launch.
