VIKING Gets Large Order in Norway

The globally leading manufacturer and provider of marine and offshore safety equipment, VIKING Life-Saving Equipment, has been awarded a large contract for a brand new type of work uniforms for the Norwegian Civil Defence.

The "Directorate for Civil Protection and Emergency Planning" (www.dsb.no) in Norway has entered an agreement with VIKING Life-Saving Equipment Norway for delivery of fire retardant work suits for the Civil Defence.

The first 2,100 suits, worth close to 20 mio. Kroner, will be delivered in April 2010. Over the next 3-4 years DSB intends to replace the remaining 8,000 suits in the force.

VIKING has produced safety solutions since 1960 and today has over 1,250 employees worldwide.
