"There is a tradition in firefighters cooking and eating together and we want to honor that tradition with this contest," said Hungry-Man Brand Manager Kristen Thompson. "Firefighters are definitely known as a hungry group and Hungry-Man is known for conquering real man hunger so there's a great synergy here."

The winning firehouse will receive a $1,000 cash prize, a one-year supply of Hungry-Man Frozen Dinners and will be featured on www.hungry-man.com. 10 runner-up firehouses will each receive a supply of Hungry-Man Frozen Dinners and will be featured on the Hungry-Man website. All 11 winning and runner-up firehouses will receive Hungry-Man t-shirts.

This year, Hungry-Man also launches a special program with firehouses in cities across the United States. The "Hungry-Man Feeds the Hungry" program will bring firefighters and their communities together to enjoy meals and each other, and give back to the community by raising money for various hunger-fighting charities.
