"We're certainly excited about being ranked by a leading business publication as one of America's fastest-growing companies, as it is a testament to our hard- and smart-working employees, as well as our loyal customers," said Pelican Products, CEO, Lyndon Faulkner. "During the past few years, we have aggressively pursued growth opportunities to expand our U.S. and international operations, enhance our product offerings and penetrate emerging markets."
According to an Inc. press release, companies on the 2007 Inc. 5,000 list produced $190 billion in aggregate revenue - about 1.5 percent of the national gross domestic product, and employed more than 900,000 people. "Pelican's future is bright, as we are continually creating new ways to serve global markets with our advanced lighting systems and virtually indestructible cases," said Faulkner.
"The Inc. 5,000 has proven an invaluable tool for anyone seeking an understanding of the most important part of this economy - the entrepreneurial part," said Inc. 5,000 project manager, Jim Melloan.
