PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tiburon, Inc. announced today that it has signed a contract to provide a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Mobile Dispatch system for the Orange County, Florida Fire Rescue Department. Tiburon, Inc., headquartered in Pleasanton, CA, is an industry-leading provider of automated public safety and justice systems to meet the demanding and complex needs of law enforcement, fire, rescue, corrections, and justice agencies.
The Orange County Fire Rescue Department, a Tiburon client for more than ten years, contracted with Tiburon for an upgrade to their existing CAD system. The department wanted to take advantage of new hardware technology and enhanced software functionality provided by this upgrade. The department conducted a comprehensive evaluation of fire CAD vendors and concluded that Tiburon had the advanced functionality and proven experience to meet the rigorous dispatching requirements of this large, populous county, located in the heart of hurricane alley.
Operating from more than 40 fire stations throughout the county, Orange County Fire Rescue serves the unincorporated areas of the county and dispatch services to the cities of Maitland, Ocoee, and Winter Garden. The new CAD system will allow call takers and dispatchers to respond, manage, and track emergency calls more efficiently and provide improved response to the community. Orange County Fire Rescue is eager to take advantage of new advances with Tiburon's in-vehicle mobile mapping solution.
