Fort Atkinson, WI (December 13, 2005) - Cygnus Publishing, a division of business-to-business media leader Cygnus Business Media, announced today that Larry Greenberger has joined the company as publisher of Firehouse magazine and Advanced Rescue Technology. Kate Kenny has also been tapped to oversee EMS magazine and Emergency Medical Product News. EMS and Advanced Rescue Technology were acquired in July of this year from Summer Communications and formerly managed by founder Carol Summers.
"Both Larry and Kate have varied backgrounds in sales, marketing and publishing that will serve our advertisers well as we move forward," says Group Vice President George Fox. "They will work closely with our Expo and Interactive divisions building complementary programs that reach out to each and every individual within the fire and EMS sector."
Cygnus Business Media has steadily built a strong franchise of fire and EMS media both through launches and acquisitions. In November, the company announced plans to launch an additional fire exposition for 2006 that will be co-located with EMS Expo, the nation's number one show serving EMS professionals. Titled Firehouse Las Vegas, the show will move annually. In 2007, it will be slated as Firehouse Atlanta, the next stop on its schedule.

Kenny has spent nearly a decade managing business-to-business publications, most recently with Adams Business Media. She also directed the marketing of seven magazines within Adams' Retail Distribution Group.
Greenberger began his career in publishing three decades ago as an account manager for McGraw-Hill, Inc. During his career, he has worked with many top trade publishers, most recently VNU Business Media where he oversaw a retail news magazine. He also served as publisher for Adams/Hunter Publishing and Primedia Business Magazines and Media.
