North Charleston, SC - The North Charleston and American LaFrance Fire Museum and Educational Center is proud to announce that it has become the only museum in the Charleston area to be certified as a child safety seat installation center. With nearly 80% of all child safety seat installed incorrectly, and in the wake of recent events, the North Charleston and American LaFrance Fire Museum and Educational Center saw a need to increase public awareness and installation accessibility to help combat this on going problem. The Fire Museum has been working closely with Safe Kids Worldwide, DHEC and other public service agencies to obtain this certification and will offer this service, by appointment, free of charge to the entire tri-county area.
