Ladson, SC (April 25, 2007) - The 6th Annual Stop. Drop. Rock & Roll (SDRR) proved to be a big hit again this year at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), held April 19-21 in Indianapolis, IN. American LaFrance, LLC hosted the benefit party the opening night of FDIC exhibits, bringing in a record-breaking attendance with a record-breaking donation for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).

"The foundation is ecstatic of the partnership with American LaFrance. SDRR 2007 was a phenomenal event in that the attendance was up from previous years and the event was well received by the attendees and thus successful for NFFF," said Ron Siarnicki, Executive Director of NFFF.

Attendees were entertained with a live band, food, beverages and a live auction featuring firefighting related items as well as an American LaFrance 175th anniversary celebration package in Charleston, SC and tickets to various sporting events. Chief Billy Goldfedder took the stage again this year as the auctioneer for the evening.

This year SDRR generated $36,710 for the NFFF, a more than 30% increase from last year's donations. The proceeds will help the NFFF in its mission to recognize the fallen heroes of the firefighting industry and support their families, friends and coworkers.

"Stop. Drop. Rock & Roll donations prove that the fire service community is about family. They continue to support each other and the families of their fallen coworkers and friends," said Cathy Hedrick, director of Survivor Programs for NFFF.
