LYONS, SD - (March 23, 2007) - The Ft. Worth Texas Fire Department accepts delivery of its 50th Rosenbauer pumper.

"We're very proud to have such a good working relationship with the department," stated Kevin Kirvida, President of the General Safety Division of Rosenbauer. "As the City of Ft. Worth has grown, so too has Rosenbauer's involvement." These comments were made in conjunction with Rosenbauer delivering its 50th fire truck to Ft. Worth.

"Our relationship began 14 years ago when we were building three basic pumpers for the city. Since then, our relationship has grown with the city. Now, we're building fully customized, rear mount pumpers, specifically designed for their needs."

"Emergency Vehicles of Texas and owner Ed Beene maintain the Fort Worth account and have done an outstanding job," says Harold Boer, CEO Rosenbauer. The newest pumpers are built on Spartan chassis with rear mounted S100 Waterous fire pumps. Equipped with CAFS, low profile crosslays, a front bumper discharge and body compartments designed at full height and depth for maximum storage.

These pumpers allow the department to respond to a variety of specialized calls such as HazMat, swift water rescue and explosive ordinance disposal. Responding to nearly 75,000 incidents per year, Ft. Worth Fire consistently ranks near the Top 30 of Firehouse Magazine's National Run Survey for total calls. A unique feature of the Ft. Worth design is a completely open pump compartment and simplified pump panel. Discharge valves with their respective gauges are located at the actual outlet locations instead of the pump compartment. This design allows for easy servicing, reduced maintenance and limited down time.
