Mr. Gustafson, 52, comes to Federal Signal from American LaFrance Corporation, where he held the position of President. American LaFrance is the fire apparatus manufacturing subsidiary of Freightliner LLC. Prior to joining American LaFrance, Mr. Gustafson was President and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America, and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mack Trucks, Inc. Prior to his corporate experience, he was a multi-franchised dealer in Florida for seventeen years.
Mr. Gustafson, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Berry College in Rome, Georgia. He served previously on the Presidents Advisory Council of the United States Chamber of Commerce and as a director for Volvo Cars NA, the American Trucking Association and Habitat for Humanity.
