Ocala Fire Rescue announces that Brandi DuCoeur, a firefighter with the department for five years has been promoted this month to the rank of Fire Equipment Operator (F.E.O.). “Successful completion of a written test and a practical test are required to be eligible for the position, then should a vacancy become available the top candidate is chosen” states Fire Chief James Ganter. The position also requires completion of several college level courses. During a brief ceremony at headquarters Brandi was presented with new fire helmet insignia and a Fire Equipment Operator badge.
“I look forward to meeting the responsibilities that the position requires” states F.E.O. DuCoeur. The promotion became effective on January 17th.
