The National Volunteer Fire Council’s (NVFC) National Junior Firefighter Program has once again partnered with Firehouse Expo and California Casualty to provide training for junior firefighters and junior firefighter program advisors this summer. Now in its third year, the National Junior Firefighter Academy has expanded to include a hands-on training component. Register now at www.nvfc.org/juniors to attend the Academy on Saturday, July 21 from 8am-1pm at Firehouse Expo in Baltimore, MD.
The morning kicks off with a leadership panel presentation for junior firefighters and a workshop on serving as a youth mentor for junior firefighter program advisors. The group will then don gear and participate in a four-part evolution, including a search and rescue simulation and thermal imaging drill.
Limited space is available - register now for only $15 at www.nvfc.org/juniors. All participants will receive a certificate of participation and a t-shirt.
NVFC members (including Junior Members) receive a discount to Firehouse Expo; visit http://firehouseexpo.com/nvfc.php to learn more.
