KME Awarded New Jersey State Contract

Jan. 3, 2013

Nesquehoning, PA –The State of New Jersey has awarded KME a new contract for fire fighting vehicles that allows all fire departments within the state to purchase apparatus more easily and cost effectively. Fire Departments and municipalities can procure trucks directly off the contract and take advantage of the volume discounts offered. The contract also allows them to minimize the delays and extensive costs associated with the administration and legal review of public bids.
KME’s contract (#83151) is effective December 11, 2012 and runs through 2017 and includes a wide range of aerials, pumpers, tankers, rescue trucks and wildland vehicles on both custom and commercial chassis.
More information about the program can be found HERE. A copy of KME’s pricing schedule can be found HERE.
KME has extensive experience with group purchase contracts and currently supplies departments in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida, Texas, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington Maryland, and Virginia with similar contracts. In addition, KME utilizes such schedules for apparatus purchased by all branches of the US Military as well as several federal agencies including the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management and the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
