The City of Los Angeles Fire Department recently ordered 11 custom pumpers from KME Fire Apparatus in Nesquehoning, Pa. which are expected to be delivered in October.
The new apparatus will be built on KME's Predator Severe Service cabs and chassis with Cummins 450 hp engines.
For firefighting, they'll have Waterous CMU-C20 1,750-gpm, two-stage pumps and 500-gallon UPF Poly-Tanks with integrated 30-gallon foam cells. The pumpers will also have FoamPro 2001 foam systems.
The apparatus will also feature 139-inch alumimum flatback bodies with enclosed ladder storage and large coffin compartments.
The units were sold by Brandon Gomez, KME West, Ontario, Calif.
