Nashville Orders Aerial Tiller From KME

Nesquehoning, PA –KME is pleased to announce the City of Nashville’s Fire Department has awarded KME and NAFECO (KME’s Tennessee Dealer), an order for a 101-foot tractor drawn AerialCat ladder.

The tiller will include a KME Predator MFD cab with seating for six and an EMS compartment. Other chassis components include an auto lube system, independent front suspension, air ride rear suspension, and a 500 hp engine.

The tiller body will include a PTO/hydraulic 10kw generator with hydraulic rescue tools. The KME 101-foot ladder includes a pre-piped waterway with a 1500 gpm rating and a 2.5:1 structural safety factor based upon an NFPA 500-pound rated tip load. With a 94-foot horizontal reach, -7 to +80 degree range of elevation, and capabilities that include Storefront Blitz, the device is ready to respond. The tiller is also highly maneuverable with a 150-inch tiller wheelbase and a 330-inch trailer wheelbase.
The apparatus is scheduled for completion and delivery in the Spring of 2014.
