Inc. Magazine listed First Line Technology, LLC on their annual Inc. 500|5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for the second year in a row.
First Line Technology, a small business provider of Out of the Box Solutions that solves historic challenges for first responders, is number 1606 on the list that has, over the years, included companies such as Microsoft, Pandora, Timberland, Vizio, Intuit, Jamba Juice, Under Armour, Oracle, and Zappos.com.
In 2012, First Line Technology was number 3905. First Line Technology applied for this prestigious award, which is based on percentage growth over the course of the past three years, in March and is proud to say that the company’s successful growth is only expected to continue.
Being named to the Inc. 500|5000 list is an honor that First Line and all of its employees are excited to accept.
“For 32 years, Inc. has welcomed the fastest-growing private companies in America to a very exclusive club. Make no mistake: The Inc. 5000 was harder to get into this year than ever in history. The median company on the list increased sales more than 140 percent since the start of 2010… those are results most companies could only dream of in the economy of the past three years,” wrote Inc. Editor in Chief Eric Schurenberg in a letter to First Line Technology informing them of their inclusion on the list. “Congratulations to you and your team. You should be proud of all First Line Technology has achieved to date.”
Since starting with just two employees in 2003, First Line has strived to maintain a “small business mentality” while remaining positioned for strategic growth.
Now with 11 employees, First Line’s three-year growth (from 2009 to 2012) was 247% and 2013 – First Line’s 10th anniversary year – is also promising to be a banner year.
Already this year, First Line Technology has launched an online store, been named one of Washington D.C.’s “Best Places to Work” by the Washington Business Journal, and is in the process of running a highly successful AmbuBus® Bus Stretcher Conversion Kit™ Giveaway (winner to be announced October 1).
“Looking back on how much First Line Technology has grown since we started it in my Washington, D.C. apartment ten years ago, I can’t help but to be proud,” said Kapoor, who founded the company with Vice President Randy Sakowitz after the former freshman year roommates graduated from the George Washington University in 2002. “These last few years we’ve been growing exponentially and are thrilled to have made the Inc. 500|5000 list once again for 2013. We know we will continue to grow as we move into our second decade and beyond.”
