NVFC Features Chevy Firefighter Concept Truck at FDIC Booth

April 8, 2014
National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) partner Chevrolet is bringing the Silverado Z71 Firefighter Concept truck to FDIC this week.

If you are attending this event, stop by GM Commercial and Fleet booth 3246 to check it out. Chevrolet designed the Silverado Z71 to show what a full-size pickup could look like when outfitted to meet the needs of a firefighter or fire department.

The truck is specially equipped with items a firefighter needs and includes plenty of space for a firefighter’s personal gear. The truck features red and silver paint with custom graphics; custom-finish 22-inch alloy wheels; chrome door handles, mirror caps, and step bars; hood protector; corner step rear bumper; and more.

Specialized rescue features include LED perimeter lighting, emergency siren and PA system, chrome fire extinguishers and mounting hardware, tool box, axe, and Halligan tool, among others.

Companies that donated items to help outfit the truck include First Alert, Globe Manufacturing Company LLC, Motorola Solutions, MSA, Paratech Inc., Scott Safety, Shelby Specialty Gloves, and Whelen Engineering Company Inc.

Chevrolet has an ongoing commitment to the volunteer fire service and has partnered with the NVFC to further these efforts and raise the profile of the volunteer fire service.

Make sure to stop by booth 3246 at FDIC to get an up-close look at the Silverado Z71.
