Oct. 8--A Riverwalk hotel was evacuated Tuesday morning after a small fire broke out in a utility closet. Guests at the Hotel Valencia were evacuated just after 2:30 a.m.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found a small fire in a utility closet on the second floor, the San Antonio Fire Department said.

It was quickly extinguished by the hotel's sprinkler system. Arson investigators were called out to look into the cause of the fire.

Officials on scene said the damage was minimal and all guests were allowed back into the hotel shortly after.
