Canadian firefighters rescued a large bear Friday that was trapped in a tree after being cornered by conversation officers.

Abbotsford, British Columbia, crews were called in to help harness the bear, which weighed at least 300 pounds, after it climbed about 25 feet in the air, The Abbostford News reports. Conservation officers had tranquilized the bear so firefighters could safely lower it to the ground.
