N.M. Home Catches Fire Three Times in One Day

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Albuquerque firefighters were busy Wednesday, fighting fires at the same house. Albuquerque Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Romero said three fires were set in three different areas of the home. The AFD has responded to the block of La Veta northeast three times in the last 24 hours: 10:30 last night, this morning and again just past 1 p.m., Romero said.

Albuquerque firefighters were busy Wednesday, fighting fires at the same house.

Albuquerque Fire Department spokeswoman Melissa Romero said three fires were set in three different areas of the home.

The AFD has responded to the block of La Veta northeast three times in the last 24 hours: 10:30 last night, this morning and again just past 1 p.m., Romero said.

After being interviewed by AFD investigators, the homeowner became upset and assaulted one of them, Romero said. The man was arrested.

Arson investigators are looking into the fires.
