Feb. 25--MELFA -- Virginia State Police are investigating another fire at an abandoned structure on the Eastern Shore.
The blaze was reported about 9:25 p.m. in the 2800 block of Beacon Road, according to a news release from Virginia State Police. The building was destroyed.
No injuries were reported.
The fire is under investigation to determine whether it is linked to about 50 others that have damaged or destroyed buildings since Nov. 12.
State police also are reminding residents that a reward is available of $25,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case.
