June 12--RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. -- A couple arrested in Alabama on Wednesday are charged with putting their small child in danger by operating a meth lab in a Richland County mobile home.
Jeremy Bowen, 34, and Holly Baier, 29, are each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste, unlawful conduct towards a child, hazardous waste management act, and manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child.
They were arrested at a family member's house in Attalla, Ala., after a tip. Their six-month-old child has been taken to an Alabama hospital for observation.
A third adult, 20-year-old William Tenuto will be charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste, and hazardous waste management act once he is released from the Augusta Burn Center. He received severe burns to the upper body in a methamphetamine explosion at the Alpine Regency Mobile Home Park early Tuesday morning.
Tenuto was in the process of manufacturing methamphetamine when the explosion occurred, according to deputies.
According to deputies, Bowen and Baier left home after the explosion, dropped Tenuto off at the hospital and drove to Alabama. They could face additional charges.
They will be transported back to Richland County to face charges. Tenuto will be transported back to Richland County upon release from the Augusta Burn Center.
