Md. Firefighter Serious After Ambulance, Pumper Crash

The Montgomery County fire apparatus were responding from separate stations.

Several Montgomery County firefighters were injured, one seriously, when two emergency vehicles collided Thursday.

The pumper and ambulance, from seperate stations, crashed around 3 p.m. at Aspen Hill Road and Parkland Drive in Rockville.

According to a tweet from Montgomery County Fire Spokesman Pete Piringer, members were reported pinnedby the collsion.

Six firefighters suffered non-life threatening injuries and one was listed as serious.

Montgomery County Police officials were investigating the cause of the crash.

Last week, a Mongtomery County ladder truck caught fire responding to an emergency.
