A firefighter was seriously hurt over the weekend during a training exercise at a firefighting school in Canada.
The incident happened Saturday at the Nova Scotia Firefighters School in Waverly, according to the institution. The firefighter—a man in his late 20s who worked for Truro Fire Services—was taken to the hospital in critical condition, the CBC reports.
The accident is currently under investigation, the school said.
"Our thoughts are with the firefighter and we wish them a speedy recovery," an online statement from the school said.
