Blaze Destroys Apartment Complex under Construction in Prescott Valley, AZ

Firefighters said flames from the 685,000-square-foot building were visible for miles.

A luxury apartment complex under construction in Prescott Valley was destroyed by a massive blaze early Monday.

The fire was visible for more than three miles. Damage has been estimated at $60 million, according to KPHO.

The concrete garage and 329 apartment units under construction represent an estimated loss of 685,000 square feet of building, according to a statement from Brian Fain, President and CEO of Fain Signature Group, owers of the complex. 

The project was about 50 percent complete. When it was finished, there were supposed to be 700 luxury apartments. 

No one was injured. The investigation is being conducted by Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority and Prescott Valley Police.
