Colleen Martin is a doctoral student in counseling psychology at the University of Houston, and she is a member of the Houston Fire Department research team. Over the past year at the HFD, Martin provided individual and couples therapy for firefighters and their family members, as well as crisis intervention services to the members of the HFD. She is now a pre-doctoral psychology intern at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, specializing in trauma and PTSD treatment. Her research interests involve risk and maintenance factors of PTSD and predictors of suicidality in trauma-exposed populations.
