With a grant from Firehouse Subs, the City of West Lafayette Fire Department assembled a Polaris Ranger 800, Crew 4X4 as Rescue Trail Vehicle 1 (RTV 1). The unit features a Kimtek skid unit with a 77-gallon water tank and five gallon foam tank. This unit responds on over 22 miles of city trails and to water rescues. It is also deployed for medical runs at many large city festivals with it's MedBed equipment.
