Showcase: S. Plattsburgh, N.Y., Adds Air/Rehab Rig to Fleet

Oct. 21, 2013

The South Plattsburgh Fire Department recently took delivery of 32-Air built on an International cab and chassis by E-ONE.

This unit serves the firefighters of Clinton, Essex, and Franklin counties of New York and also is called to our neighbors in Canada to the north and Vermont in the west from time to time.

32-Air's mission is to refill SCBA bottles using its built-in cascade system that can fill multiple bottles at once. It also doubles as a rehab unit.

To accomplish its rehab mission, it has two refrigerators stocked with water and shade and shelter canopies on the left and right sides. It also carries misting fan, BLS EMS equipment, folding chairs, and lawn tents.

It also features a light tower, radio charger, basic firefighting tools, BLS, spare SCBA packs, AED, spare batteries, command desk, and climate-controlled walk-in body.
