Grant Helps DeSoto, MO, Firefighters Pay for Pumper/Tanker

DeSoto, MO, Rural FPD has taken delivery of a pumper/tanker, built on a Rosenbauer Commander 4000 cab/chassis.

DeSoto, MO, Rural Fire Protection District has taken delivery of a  Rosenbauer pumper/tanker, built on a Rosenbauer Commander 4000 cab/chassis. It has a Rosenbauer MP3 aluminum body and 186-inch wheelbase. It's powered by a Cummins ISX 500-horsepower engine and an Allison 4000EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Waterous CXC20 1,250 gpm single-stage pump and a Pro Poly of America Inc. 3,000 gallon water tank with a 30-gallon Class A foam cell. It also has a Waterous Aquis 1.5 foam system, R.O.M. roll-up door, PowerArc LED emergency warning lights and Fire Research Spectra LED scene lights. The apparatus was funded by a U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant.
