Truck 257, a 2017 KME 102-foot Aerial Cat platform aerial, has now been put in service by firefighters with the Scott Township, PA, Fire District. It is powered by Cummins ISX-12 500-hp engine and an Allison 4000 EVS transmission. To fight fire, it has a Hale QMax 2,000-gpm single-stage pump, a 400-gallon poly water tank with a 20-gallon foam cell and a Hale Foamlogix 2.1 foam system. Other equipment includes a V-MUX rear-vision camera, Whelen scene and warning lights, and a Harrison 15,000-watt hydraulic generator, an Akron Brass electric cable reel, and R.O.M. roll-up doors.
